Workshop by Shri Omkar Dadarkar - EVENT CANCELED

In this workshop, our Master Artist Omkar Dadarkar will share his talim from Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar on bandish based improvisation. He will also share Gajananbuwa's Raga Swaroop phraseology for drawing a picture of the Raga. This masterclass is for anyone with an interest in understanding 'Raga' better and learning how to improvide upon a bandish in different ways.  

About the Artist: Omkar Dadarkar’s khayal style is receiving growing plaudits across the world. He first learned from his parents, then from a vast range of gurus including his aunt Manik Verma, Dr. Ram Deshpande, Pt. Yashwanthbua Joshi, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Girija Devi, and Shrinivas Khale. A period of study as an ITC Sangeet Research Academy scholar further sharpened his control, and his performance career goes from strength to strength with a growing resumé of awards.
