Ragamala Lights (Morning) Sitar Concert by Sahana Banerjee

Sahana Banerjee is a distinguished Sitar performer hailing from the Rampur Senia Gharana. Born into a family with a rich musical heritage, she was initiated into vocal music by her mother Mrs. Chhabi Banerjee, daughter of Sangeetacharya Kashinath Chattopadhyay of Rampur Sahaswan Gharana. She trained in Sitar under the able guidance of her father Pandit Santhosh Banerjee, a disciple of Ustad Md. Dabir Khan of the Rampur Senia Gharana. Read more about Sahana Banerjee HERE

She will be accompanied on Tabla by Vikas Yendluri. He began his training at the age of 5 under Sri Arshad Syed, and has continued training under Ustad Zakir Hussain. In addition to his work as a soloist, Vikas has accompanied some of the greatest masters of Indian classical music, including Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, and Pandit Rajeev Taranath.
