About the Event
About the artist: Shashwati ji is primarily a disciple of Pt. Balasaheb Poonchhwale, although she has many other significant influences in her life. She is widely acknowledged among the younger generation of the Gwalior Gharana musicians. She has performed widely, and internationally. This young maestra has a large repertoire of bandishes in many Ragas that she brings to bear in this lecture demonstration.
