Raga Bhoop and Family - A "Chalan Bhed" Workshop - Vidushis Apoorva Gokhale and Pallavi Joshi

In this workshop, our Master Artists will lead us in a deeper understanding of how different bandishes light up different aspects of a Raga (the premise of our Raga Parichaya series) and go further into chalan bhed Ragas like Deskar, Jait etc. The notion of 'chalan bhed se raga bhed' is a hallmark of Indian classical music. This masterclass is for anyone with an interest in understanding this concept better and bringing better 'raga-ness' to their singing/playing.

Vidushis APOORVA GOKHALE and PALLAVI JOSHI are the fifth generation of an illustrious lineage in the GWALIOR GHARANA starting with Pandit Antubua Joshi, the court musician of Aundh, and Gayanacharya Pandit Gajananrao Joshi. Their music is a spiritually uplifting 'gharanedaar' experience.
